Frontiers in Sustainable Development (FSD) is committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics and is a member of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), abiding by its Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines. For more information, visit www.publicationethics.org.
Duties of Authors
- An author is a person who has a substantial contribution to the article; all other contributions should be mentioned as acknowledgments.
- Authors should cite only the articles which have contributed to their work; unnecessary citations should not be listed.
- Authors should present their work as objectively as possible. Arguments that discriminate against people by race, sex, origin, religion, etc., are not accepted.
- Bogus results must not be given.
- The manuscript must not be under consideration for publication elsewhere.
Duties of Reviewers
- Reviewers should not take advantage of the manuscript; instead, they should help the authors to improve their work.
- Reviewers should not criticize the manuscripts in public.
- The Editor guarantees the anonymity of the reviewer.
Peer Review Process
FSD operates a single-blind review process. All contributions are initially assessed by the Editor-in-Chief. Suitable papers are sent to a minimum of two independent expert reviewers. The average review period is between 1–60 days.
Plagiarism Policy
Before publication, Boya Century Publishing will review all papers using text comparison tools to prevent scholarly and professional plagiarism.
Corrections and Retractions
Confirmed cases of misconduct will be handled according to COPE flowcharts. Actions may include rejection, correction, expression of concern, retraction, and notification of the author’s institution and funders where appropriate.
